Found this nice piece by chance (I downloaded her best-of album).
I'm usually not too keen on bossa nova type songs, but I dig this . The singer is apparently Korean but grew up in Japan and specialises in bossa nova. I have no idea if her Portuguese is actually any good, but it doesn't sound too accented to me.
^ That comes off her "Voyage" album, which I have but haven't listened to in a really long time.

To be specific, Wikipedia describes her as a 3rd gen Zainichi Kankokujin. Meaning she and her parents were born and raised in Japan and may never have even been to Korea but due to the quirks of Japanese citizenship they're still considered "Korean" unless they go through a process of fully giving up their identity as Koreans.
Anyway I'd always just assumed she was an Asian-Brazilian singer; I would've never guessed Japanese nationality. Her English does have a Japanese accent (greatly magnified by hindsight), but it is fainter than even Miki's. Lol, she's a cardiologist too, nice lil side gig.
I think this is one of my favourite anime ending songs. I know it's a cover, but it's so good.
I mean, anything with Ayahi is perfect, but man. I'm usually not too keen on Hayami Saori on the other hand, but this kind of song suits her voice really well. And their voices work well together, too.
On a completely random note, I just ran across my old Veoh account (which I had pretty much forgotten -- I'll try to dig out the password). I'm always slightly surprised that Veoh still exists, but a bunch of the videos that I uploaded about seven years ago are still there:
(It seems to be a little buggy with Firefox, at least, but still there... )
