news reports today are saying that long time Johnny's flagship idol group SMAP will be splitting up after 25 years. 4 of the members have quit Johnny's. Takuya Kimura is working independently in Johnny's. Apparently they had some beef with Johnny's agency over their manager being pressured to resign.

KARA disbanded and I'm sad about it.

If that means that Hara's freed up for more solo activities than I'm okay with it. KARA was really cute group, at their best (STEP) maybe the best looking Kpop group ever, without having that cookie-cutter-surgery look seen in some of the other groups. But sometimes it's just time to go...it's not like they could ever top Nicole's epic Mister buttdance anyway.

I like their 2nd single way more than the 1st. The girls vocals are better, there's more power in the instrumental itself and of course, Lady Beard just makes everything better with their screamo/grunts.
