I don't know when that show was from, but considering the audition was going from May 2012 until September 2012, it's likely that she was just taking the auditions and/or had just failed it. She was 11 at the time of the show so it was post-May 2012.

I wouldnt be surprised if Tsunku is trolling us and doesn't do anything with her for another 3 years or something...

also it really does seem that 11th gen was really just for Tsunku to add Sakura, since the other finalists were obviously not as good as her in vocal ability. if another girl had been added, it definitely would've taken away the focus on her and the talent she brings.

Hmm that's what Im thinking. I'm thinking that when Tsunku failed her she wasn't known at all and now that she is known for being in that group and for looking like the girls from AKB, he sees she has ace potential.

To be fair we never know what happens once people fail auditions. Maybe they get "You didn't pass this, but how about joining the kenshuusei instead?" or they fail completely and then audition for kenshuusei. Or maybe they get a call back a few months later. We have no idea.

^In that video they're comparing her blog views from July, so I'd say it's late July/early August.

Hmmm timing seems about right. By August they could have been already past the third round. Whether or not Tsunku called her later on and said hey want to be an egg or not I still think Tsunku is trying to capitalize off her popularity.
