The basis for this has always been there, but she was hidden a lot because of her unpredictable-ness. I think in the last year she and staff have been letting herself be herself and trusting that she's mature enough to know when she's gone too far.

I think Sayu graduating/12th Gen joining has the most to do with it. She feels the need to push herself more than before. She's taken it upon herself to fill that void Sayu left.

As far as Masaki is concerned it's like the equivalent of unleashing a caged beast. She's got potential to be amazing so I hope she doesn't fall flat and burn out too quickly.
