Came here to say that. I do think people should be considerate and limit the size of their avatars and signatures, but at the same time, the option for turning them off is available.

Turning them off limits the JPlop Experience™ imo, same with ignoring people.

But y'know, some people like myself get distracted by animated gifs, even small ones. It's annoying when I'm reading a topic and keep getting distracted by a gif. And most of the time, sorry to say, the gifs people use on here aren't even really that good.
