If you've been reading S/mileage's blogposts over the last few days (or in my case: getting what I can via
https://twitter.com/namasma_eng), this is the status of their Budokan concert.
1. When the girls were told how many tickets were sold via the initial FC-only release they were floored as the amount sold was far higher than they ever experienced before.
2. They didn't sell out though, and they still have a ways to go.
3. All in all, they're determined to make their Budokan concert a succes. They're brainstorming all kinds of ideas and from all of their posts I can't help but root for them.
Ayaka: Yesterday we were told the # of Budokan tix sold to FC members. It was an unbelievable number. Thank you very much. I was very happy. But we were told that it's still not looking good. We thought about what we should do. We did today at the dressing room too. It may not be enough but I want to do our best at what we have now! What we have now is our sp tour! I wanna make it a success. I thought there aren't that many ppl who can come to Budokan from far areas but many ppl told me that they would come at the handshakes after concerts.
I was happy & touched that they would come all the way to Budokan just for us. Going all over Japan, I felt not only fun, but the sense of sharing the same feelings in the same space. I really feel fortunate that these wonderful ppl all over the country are supporting us! The tour is halfway done but if we keep continuing to cherish these moments I think more ppl will start to like our performances! We have lots of stuff to do like sp tour & musical and we're anxious about the tix. But I think making this sp tour a success and sharing the fun of Smileage concerts will be keys to the success of Budokan. I want to end this tour in a success!
General ticket release is on 4/30. Best of luck to them, because they very much deserve it.
