Tsubaki Factory's Asakura Kiki had a fever last night and as a result of a medical examination, she was diagnosed with influenza. She won't be at today's H!P Winter Concert 2017 finale in Hiroshima. She will also miss Tsubaki Factory's major debut single mini live and handshake event in Fukuoka on Sunday.

All of Hello! Project performing "Special Generation"…

NOTE: Bad audio sync, but not unwatchable. It's more for the occasion than for the quality of the performance.

Lots of the soon-to-be leader Wada. And among the KSS, Kokoro seems to disproportionately appear in the frame. She probably threatened to kick someone's ass if she doesn't start to get more screen time.

The performance of "Special Generation" that I posted earlier apparently was from this broadcast and not from the tour finale in Hiroshima. Oops. Hat tip to otaku_blue in the other thread for reminding me.

More performances…

Oh Ai No Tane... I've never heard you performed well live - not even by the original girls - but you're so nostalgic.

Camellia have gotten so good. And Hatsukoi Sunrise is my favorite H!P song of 2017. Unless something even better comes along, which would be amazing.

(Random trivia question: Have they shown whose voice is used as the basis for the computerized squeal?)

Regarding Oh My Wish: At some point in the past couple of years, Oda went from feeling like a cut-rate Takahashi stand-in to being an ace in her own right. It's not just the voice, it's the whole stage command, the eye game, the performance sharpness. I'd like to see her and Aichan do a battle style duet together. SKULLGIRLS H!P EDITION PLEASE TAKE MY MONEH!

^ We know at least Saori and Yumeno recorded samples for that part (the 2/17 "Upcoming"). I always thought it sounded the most like Yumeno (and I still think it after hearing the two of them do it), but it seems just as likely that they layered any combination of voices to achieve it.

Yeah when Oda got in the only thing I kept thinking was "Aichan Aichan Aichan" she has the look of Aichan and the talent, but over the years she's really become "Sakura" and came into her own in a big way. She still reminds me of Aichan sometimes though - especially how her stage presence is so big, but her off stage presence is so small from being relatively quieter than her peers.
