Different groups have a different set of vocals. You shouldn't expect them to sound the same or perform the same.

What makes the Smile=Juice performance memorable for me is remembering that six of the members were in Team Okai just doing the dances to Colorful Era songs.

I'm off to see C-ute's Naruchika today in Kagawa. Will be my first time seeing them perform. Tomorrow will be Juice=Juice in Hitoshima. It'll be interesting going from an arena concert in Yokohama to smaller more intimate venues. I don't thinknive ever seen anyone talk about the Naruchika/ live concerts so I've really no idea what to expect. Should be interesting.

Kravius Pila wrote:^ Why "oviously" a cover couln'd be as good as the original ...? Simply, these voise are a different style...
I said "more pleasant", but it's true, Riho progress more and more, and Sakura is a jewel. =3

Okay, listen. Please understand that there's a huge difference between the performance of a song by the original group and a shuffle performance. MM。have had months to sharpen their Help me!! performances even before they started performing in public. S/mileage and J=J only had concert rehearsals. It's not the same as doing a recording where you go over the nuances of the song, it's not the same as shooting a PV/dance shot where you do the dance again and again until it's absolutely perfect and it's definitely not the same as TV performances.

Obviously it's not going to be as good. But why even bother being so critical? It's perfectly fine. Shuffle performances like these are made to be entertaining. Yes, they're still good. But just because it's not completely, 100% perfect doesn't mean they're bad.

The performance was fine and I honestly don't see the need to compare. I get why people are, but these girls put in a lot of work and then people shit on them like "It's not the original it sucks". That's not the point. That's not fair.

I'm going to assume English isn't your first language, so forgive me for being harsh, but I'm more addressing this to everyone. The way you worded your post sounded unnecessarily mean, even if you weren't trying to be.

Parhelion69 wrote:^ Meimi doing Riho's line wasn't as good either.
Also, Sayube wasn't as good as Sakura.
And Takechan also fell flat with her line.

And the unison parts weren't as good.

And I could nit-pick even further.

And nobody gives a fuck.

Do people not realise how hard MM。's songs are nowadays? Jesus, y'all are far too harsh and need to learn how to enjoy things without criticising every aspect.

Aside from Karin and Meimi's lines needing to be switched, I actually liked S/mile=Juice's version of Help me!!. Bellyz's Crazy Kanzen na Otona, however... :fear:

Y'all must not remember this:

And this was one of Morning Musume's first performances of this song. Help me!! isn't an easy song to perform, and they did pretty damn good. Give them a break, this is most likel the only time they'll perform it.

I didn't dislike this, though the more I watch it the more I want a performance with just Miyabi, Saki, and Risako. (Sort of like those old "Take off is now!" performances with Risa, Ai, and Reina.)

^^

I think you're going against Starra's point, that whatever side you take the shuffle performances are just for fun and shouldn't be taken too seriously.

With that said, I like how Berryz weren't exactly sexy, but managed to do it their own way.
C-ute having performed The Manterou Show last year, and then now this, their versions always are the best for me now haha

Yume Miru 15 (Macchan, Akari, Karin, Meimi)

3/4 top vocal among newer gens
these outfits are really cool, really fashionable and modern. they perform this better than current S/mileage for me, Akari surprised me.
