B) If one has to explain a joke, then it must not have been funny.

I get that it was a joke, but the premise of the joke was kinda mean (i.e., an unhappy newlywed) and the joke itself was a non-sequitur (i.e., the pill bug reference is Sayu's, not Yossie's).

One of those would be okay, but both together...?
