Sayu's though has me worried because two months feels like a respectable time to rest and I was hoping for some kind of announcement from her soon.

hmm i would think that someone who has had only short breaks over the course of almost 12 years wouldn't want to limit herself to 2 month. not unless she had work lined up that required it. 2 months goes by really fast. i'd think maybe 6 months in she'd start wanting to find more regular work.. long enough that she's well rested and had plenty of time to vacation and spend time with family, but not so long that she'll seem like a has-been when she does come back.

heck, she might even be able to pull off a year and still bounce back with a big splash (selfishly i hope she doesn't take that long, but she could).
