We can ask agree that it's weird though, right?

I really hope Girls Beat works out for Kago even though I don't like any of their songs so far. She's been through a lot (and yeah, sure, a lot of it was because she was young and stupid, I still feel bad for her) and I just want her to enjoy herself.

I watched the video boinsie kindly shared and I feel like she looks a bit different from usual (it's probably a combination of the idol hairstyle and not having seen her in action in a while now).

^ Overall Ryonatan's not too bad looking despite sorta resembling Magibon. But the costumes....they're just amazingly bad. And Aibon doesn't belong there. Facially, she looks like a woman in her 30's, not an idol. I can't see her ever being able to successfully pull off idol again.

If she's just trying to keep herself out there while she finds something more believable to do with herself, fine. A woman's gotta eat. I hope she's lining up that plan B, though.

its just awkward because she's a famous, scandalous idol, who left and is now trying to make a comeback as a low budget idol.

i know it might seem like its helping her rehabilitation, but I can imagine that the hardwork of trying to startup an idol group like that could be disheartening to her moral?
I'm just glad shes making amends with girls like Tsuji again.

Is she marketing herself as an idol? I just thought it was a girl band thing.

That's hilariously out of touch with reality if thats what shes doing.

I'm not sure actually... :s

It is an idol group type of girl group though right?

Their concept, at least initially, is being a crowd-sourced idol group. The two non-Kago members were voted into the group via online vote, and their costumes, dances, lyrics, and melodies are all submitted by fans and voted on to determine what they'll release next, etc.

Kago said she wants to be a bit of an idol still as that's what she used to do and love. But that she's also married and a mom, so she just want to have a idol-touch on the group, I guess. A new type of mama-dol, I guess.

So there is a new group debuting soon http://seltzermusic.com/aishingfairy.html and they're being produced by Azusa Kobayashi, ex-Country Musume.

Azusa is also releasing her 2nd mini-album, Alexandrite on 10/4
