Kitagawa Rio is feeling unwell, so she will miss today's Morning Musume. '24 74th Single Mini live & Send-off event at Shinagawa Intercity Hall.

Recently, she had been feeling unwell and had visited the hospital several times. She had tested negative for corona and influenza, and has been diagnosed with a summer cold.

She has been taking prescription medication to recover, however, her symptoms have not improved to the point of being able to perform, so we have decided to excuse her from the event.
We sincerely apologize for the concern and inconvenience this may cause to our fans and other concerned parties.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Kitagawa Rio will miss the H!P Summer concert performance and the new single fortune music cheki photo-op events this weekend, after being diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia as a result of a doctor's medical examination and tests at the hospital today.
