As of today their average ages are:
Juice=Juice: 16.81
S/Mileage: 16.77
Morning Musume: 16.69
That's only an average age difference of about 1.5 month between the 3 groups.
S/mileage is 15 days younger then Juice=Juice. The age distribution between the 2 groups is also very similar. Yuuka is a bit older then Ayaka and Karin and Akira are just 2 months younger then Meimi. Just because S/mileage has 3 members younger then 16 and Juice=Juice has just 2 is the reason for Juice=Juice to be just a bit older. Morning Musume has 5 members under 16, they also have the youngest member in active H!P. That's what's drags their average down, even with Sayumi in their ranks.
If Aina would not have left the group they would have been the youngest group with a average age of 16.60, that's how close it is.
