The 1st round (application screening) of the audition is complete and they have sent notices by mail to only those who passed to the 2nd round.

just like the Morning Musume. '16 audition, it took them about the same amount of time to complete the 1st round (about 2 and half weeks) February 14th ~ March 3rd, 2016. The restart audition took about 11 days. It took about 5 months (July to December), from the start of the audition to the announcement of the winners at Budokan.

so in 5 months, June 4th~5th will Morning Musume. '19's Budokan concert. Thats probably when they will announce hopefully winners.

3rd round is complete, they have sent out a notice to those that passed or failed the audition today.

This means we have finalists for the final round, otherwise they would have said "everyone failed in the 3rd round, the audition is over"

Sounds like we're going to have results (so anyone that was worried about a no-winner audition can relax). Even if the final round (training camp?) runs for a full 3 days next weekend, they'd probably still have time to get things finalized before Musume's concert finale. I hope they won't wait until the Summer tour, anyway.
