I hope that they never ever ever ever go back to that period, it was just a string of uninteresting songs in that period.

I liked naichau kamo, shouganai yume oibito and nanchatte renai if you were talking about the platinum era 
Those were the ones that got me back following mm since iroppoi jirettai (well since koharu joined actually)
But yeah after nanchatte the charm kinda fades again until maji desu ska for me...

I dislike every single MM single from the platinum era, so don't listen to me. The last single that I still listen to is Sexy Boy, only with Renai Hunter MM became interesting again.

^^ I agree that most of the Platinum Era singles were mediocre and same-y, but the ones I liked most are KP and Mikan. My theory is that by that time basically the only fans left were the fans who specifically liked the kind of angsty platinum-like music that Aichan was headlining. So KP and Mikan sold poorly because they were disliked by those remaining hardcore platinum fans, and not on account of their overall quality as pop music.

I love Mikan, KP, NK, NR, OOLG, and ONSA. I think Tsunku tailored the platinum era songs for Aichan. KP and Mikan sold poorly cause they werent angsty enough?

The only Platinum Era asides I dislike: Kimagure Princess (ew) and Onna ga Medatte Naze Ikenai. Though I wasn't all that fond of Pepper Keibu either...
Nanchatte Renai and Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game are two of my favourite singles ever, and Seishun Collection and Shouganai Yume Oibito are fantastic as well.

Oh man, I'm not the only one who doesn't like Platinumusume music. I the biggest offenders were Nanchatte and Shouganai (and I actually like Shouganai) - I swear you can swap the chorus in those songs and no one would notice it. Pepper Keibu and Seishun Collection are my absolute favorite songs from that era.
