But either way. A "background check" of a girls' parents has nothing to do with their being a kenshuusei or not.

And as it was that's not even what zam meant, as he meant "Informing the parents of what it means to debut" and THAT does not equal to "background check." Has nothing to do with if I or anyone else watch too much TV or not tbh.

I was only responding to his response and meant that the term has nothing to do with watching TV, that anyone in the U.S. would interpret it the way you did. I guess I should have removed your part of the quote.


Anyway, I think it's a good idea, and I don't see how "lower branch" means lowest of the low in a bad way. If the girls are really that trained and talented they wouldn't need to be there; they can try for other auditions. Also, lowest of H!P is still something, right?

This. Getting your foot into the door of a major entertainment/idol agency, if that's your goal, isn't a bad thing. Especially when it's going to get you professional training and new opportunities.

I look at it as Pre-Screening/Pre-Emploment just like any job would offer/people would do in order to further ones career
