AKB has too many members. I would get lost when if try to find a favorite, so i don't even try at all.

So yeah, I'd rather stick with other idol groups where its easier to learn all their names.

Idk, the problem I have with the *48 groups is that SO MANY OF THE DAMN GIRLS GRADUATE ALL THE TIME.

Especially lately, I find it plenty amusing.

It's more the sister groups though -- namely NMB. It kind of sucks, because I'm scared of learning about a girl only to find out she's going to leave.

Most of the time the girls aren't popular at all, though, so I don't blame them. It's still annoying though.

I only know the top girls in AKB since they regularly pop-up in news in so many media you can't miss them. I don't even know how many spin-offs ( sister groups ) from AKB they have. Doesn't mean I don't like them. Just that I'm already overwhelmed keeping up with H!P and its loosely related families

Other than AKB, there are currently 3 sister groups (SKE, NMB, HKT) -- or 5, if you count the two overseas ones (JKT and SNH).

AKB: 3 (5 planned)
SKE: 9
NMB: 4 (2 planned)
HKT: 0
JKT: 3
SNH: 2

I must've been getting NMB confused with some of last year's grads. My bad.

Yeah I don't keep up with the other groups (Matsui, Akimoto, Sashihara being the exceptions) so I only keep track of AKB somewhat tbh and yeah, so many so far. xD Still waiting for the second big name to go though (Itano only comes so close to be a "big name"). Oshima, Shinoda, Watanabe, Kashiwagi or Takahashi. That will be interesting.
