i like Hepburn, because the others are confusing. it's one thing to write for yourself.. for your own learning. but then you start translating it to the web and signs and such, you're exposing it to people who don't know how to read it so it just leads to people pronouncing it wrong all over the place. even more wrong than they would without the help of confusing transliteration.

I dislike romaji in general so I prefer not to write in it, but when I do I do skip the y's and whatevs. I never skip a H in "shi" or "chi" though.
