Zukki is going on diet challenge. Her goal is back to the same weight when she debuted, period in two months (until stage play “TRIANGLE” ends this June 28th).
She said because the formation dance is difficult and there’s two reasons that are motivating her, 1) When she absent due to injured. 2) Because she didn’t get to join the stage play.

She looked super cute when she debuted (and she looks cute now but its different). I was actually just thinking how great it'd be if she ever went back to that weight when I was watching older MM PVs last week. I feel like she can still pull off the pocchari character but it wouldn't be so that she's THAT much proportially chubbier than the norm, so she can probably get a lot more Japanese fans without losing her talking point.

The stage play thing aside (which so made me ) It sounds like she's mostly doing it for her health. She's also subtly implied thatlong 's been getting a lot of pressure from UF* (and that she had been blamed for her injury) which is a shame since we know Tsunku supported her.

On the other hand, I don't actually see her having much trouble losing the weight. Combined with the amount of exercise she gets as long as she eats healthy, she'll be good. Though considering she's filled out since then, debut weight might be pushing it.

I hope it's successful, she's happy and she gets a lot of great press from it.

Though the already extensive exercise she gets on a regular basis and the weight goal leaves me questioning 'doing it for health'. I have doubts that being the weight of a 12 year old would be very healthy, nevermind that losing weight too rapidly isn't healthy in the first place. You can change up the way you eat personally without letting the world know, so I will assume/hope that a lot of this was stated just to get press attention.

Since she's used her weight for for press in the last year or so and has made it her identity that's pushed, she would have been in the media no matter what, at least with announcing it she has the control over how it's first portrayed to the media.

In regards to health. The line about formation dancing and made me think that she's found herself tiring before the other girls (she is having to use more energy to move around) and not as easily being able to keep up. I've noticed that when I fluctuate to heavier weights I tend to get tired a lot more easily.

Country Girls really feel like veterans. Yamaki just keeps on getting more and more cute. Mai looks super cute.

idk if you guys remember but Zukk said she went on a diet when she was 12 to audition for Morning Musume. so if she can lose that much weight again she should totally release a book on it because I'd love to know how.
