Re: Berryz Koubou to go on indefinite hiatus starting spring 2015

Seems like the girls came to this decision themselves. And it's completely understandable, too.
Good for them and they have really deserved to get a bit of a break tbh.
It'll be interesting to see where they'll go though. I expect one or two to marry rather soon after their last live. lol

I can definitely see Miyabi and Risako with boyfriends, lol.

I never thought that I'd be crying so much. This is the group that got me into H!P, the group I've been supporting for 7 years now. It's just kind of sad to see them go like this, even thought they've been doing this for 10 years, so it would kind of be expected. I was just hoping this would happen in 2016-2017.

I hope the best for them in their personal lives, though.

Oh gosh. I really tried to avoid mentioning that but you posting that right after me makes it so obvious what I was thinking.

Really ... they seems to be the two who might want to keep singing/dancing the most ... but Maasa and Chinami ... Dang I said it.

Ah, yeah hmmm.... we all had a feeling something like this is coming though, no?
Best of luck to all the girls with their lives afterwards and the fans still have more than half a year to support them. They've had a great run

Tbh I'm not even worried about it until I hear the words graduation.

I just really need for that Saki/Miyabi/Risako unit to come to fruition, rise like a phoenix.

It will be interesting to see what the various members will end up doing afterwards.

Out of all of them only Momochi is 100% set for the future.
Big in variety, appears on TV daily, well known celebrity, regular spot on a popular children's TV-show,...
Add to that a university degree and the ability to teach kids if all else fails.
She's golden. An allround success-story.

The rest is a big ? to me.

This explains a lot.
I feel like they were planning this for a while UFA.

It really feels like that while HP was stepping up their game collectively, since Berryz were lagging up until recently that they've decided to graduate.
I'm not sad, but I'm just shocked that its actually happening. I kinda wanted them to stay a bit longer since we need more stable performers, and seniors to help a bunch of new girls coming in.

I reckon that this is why they were harsh on S/mileage a while back, just because the reality is that S/mileage would be the 3rd most senior group in HP. Also explains why they're going out buying billboards in Shibuya for J=J and not Berryz.
However, I really wish they didn't allow for the girls to run their mouth on "Morning Musume being the favoured group" especially in anticipation of this it just leaves an awkward feeling, even if it was just a joke.

I hope we get another kenshuusei unit soon though comprised of good performers who are vocally talented to compensate for Risako and Miyabi.
Career wise, I have no idea what they're going to do, but who knows "Berryz' Not Dead!".

Berryz being the oldest group graduating would save the company a bit of money.

Not surprised, but it will be strange to have a Hello Project without Berryz Kobo. It's not like I ever been to Japan without seeing Berryz Kobo perform.

Anyway, Spring 2015, a good time to make another visit to Japan to wave Berryz Kobo goodbye.
