If anything, at least one Kobushi or Juice member should've been somewhere in the ranks.

^ Yes, which tells me the people who made the list don't really know H!P beyond MM and soloists. But still, it's impressive that so many H!P members appear on a list that covers almost 50 years of idol history.

It's also nice that Hinata Kashiwagi (Ebichu) is on the list. She's good, and probably the only reason why Ebichu is still a thing.

It's disappointing that Suzuka Nakamoto (BABYMETAL) is not on the list. I wonder if they consider her to be not an idol anymore, since BABYMETAL went mainstream/global.

In fairness, these kind of programs are going to showcase people that the audience has conceivably heard of with a consistent presence on major pop charts. Honestly I'm a pleasantly surprised Oda is there at all, I didn't think there's anyone in H!P these days who has any degree of individual renown.

The good news, fewer releases this year means staying on the Year End Charts. The bad news is fewer releases for H!P, means fewer chances to be on the Year End Charts.

Morning Musume. '20 finally makes the Top 30 since not many other artists releases couldn't bump them down this year. #28 is their highest rank in the last 5 years (all of them just outside the top 30~40)

Tsubaki Factory had an impressive start at the beginning of year with their single selling 86k on Billboard. It kept them on the charts for the year.
