Sayu uploaded pictures she took with all of MM17 and introduced each person with a unique emoji. On the April 12 showing of Sayuminglandoll, she revealed the meaning behind each emoji:
Fukumura Mizuki (heart-shaped chocolate): her member colour is deep pink and she gives of a “sweet” image since she smells good and has soft skin.
Ikuta Erina (cat): Between a dog or a cat, Ikuta has a more cat-like face. Cats only seek affection from and hang around certain people they like, and in Ikuta’s case it would be Niigaki Risa. But sometimes she goes over to Sayu too, which Sayu finds very cute.
Iikubo Haruna (doll): She’s like a doll herself and shows off her cute and unique fashion sense on WEAR (an app where you upload your clothing and fashion choices).
Ishida Ayumi (colourful bouquet of flowers): Ishida wore pink on purpose when coming to see Sayuminglandoll. She was just like a bouquet herself, and she seems to have become energetic and cheerful since Sayu’s graduation too.
Sato Masaki (monster): … It’s exactly what it is. Sato screams around like a monster would.
Kudo Haruka (meat): Sayu’s image of Kudo is that she loves meat a lot. There was also that 30-min timelapse video of Kudo eating meat while they were in Hawaii.
Oda Sakura (cherry blossom): Of course there’s the sakura connection, but Sayu thinks that Oda fits the image of a cherry blossom flower too.
A lot of people left comments on Sayu’s blog wondering if she accidentally switched the emojis for Ogata and Makino (since Ogata = figure skating and Makino = baseball), but it’s on purpose:
Ogata Haruna (cap): Sayu has the impression of Ogata being very sporty, which the cap represents.
Makino Maria (ballerina): Makino is cute and has an incredibly nice figure.
Nonaka Miki (cookie): she can speak English so a “foreign” cookie was chosen.
Haga Akane (balloon): Haga is the youngest, so the balloon is supposed to draw on the image of how young children hold onto balloons.
Kaga Kaede (diamond): Kaga is already cute, but Sayu thinks she’ll become even cuter from now on. The diamond represents “a diamond in the rough” that Sayu looks forward to see polished.
Yokoyama Reina (flower): When Sayu first met Yokoyama, she had a cheerful smile like a little baby’s, so Sayu specifiaclly chose the flower that kindergarteners wear as badges because Yokoyama reminds her of a small child.
